Legendsverse

I have been collecting action figures for years, and for years I have been looking for a way to keep track of my collection. I have also been looking for a place where I could get an idea on how much my collection is worth as well.

I've been using the CLZ apps for years to keep track of my books and comics, but they have yet to create an app for action figures. I know that they have been asked about creating one many times, but I believe the response has always been that it's not in the picture for their future.

A few weeks ago (as of this writing), Big Nerdy of the Nerdzoic YouTube channel posted a video that caught my attention.

This was my first introduction to Legendsverse

When I first took a tour of the website, there were a couple of action figure lines that I collected, and I loved the interface. It was an easy decision to sign up for a free account and begin adding figures from my collection. By the time I almost finished adding my G.I. Joe Classified figures, I had come to the limit of figures I could add under the free account. By that time, I already made my decision to upgrade to a full account, but I wanted to wait until a few more action figure lines were added to the system.

Then I received an email from the creator Alejandro and he offered a discounted lifetime membership. Between that and the offer that Big Nerdy had made in his video, I jumped at the opportunity to join to not only be able to use this great service, but watch it grow and see how far it goes.

For my fellow collectors, I highly recommend signing up for a lifetime membership. There is also a growing community where you can interact with your fellow collectors. Legendsverse is only going up, and with your help, it can evolve into the best site for action figure collector. I invite you to watch the video from Nerdzoic to get a better understanding of what capabilities the site has to offer.

WANTLIST - Hasbro SDCC 2024 G.I. Joe Classified Series: Cobra Commander (Once a Man) Figure

When I first started my action figure collection, I tried to keep it within the 3.75" realm because that's what scratched by nostalgic itch. I never got into the 12" figures from the original G.I. Joe line or any other franchise I collect. I do recall having a 12" Darth Vader when I was a kid... but I never really played with it since it was so much bigger than all the rest of my toys.

A few years ago, I got suckered into collecting from the Classified series of G.I. Joe from Hasbro. I don't open them for display or play with them, but I do enjoy looking at them through the plastic window of the packaging. And then Hasbro started doing their stupid no plastic packaging, and that upset me. I still purchased the figures I liked, but I wasn't 100% happy about not being able to see them.

But aside from that, I do collect the G.I. Joe Classified line; or at least the characters I like and can afford. While I like Serpentor, unfortunately is was just not in the budget. I was able to get Chuckles last year and have 0 regrets.

This brings me to the reason for this post. Recently, Hasbro announced that their San Diego Comic Con exclusive for the Classified line this year is going to the the Cobra Commander (Once a Man) Figure.

While I am not a fan of the Cobra-La aspect of the G.I. Joe animated movie, I did appreciate the movie nonetheless. It was definitely better than the 2009 Rise of Cobra live action movie.

When I first saw the promotion images of the Cobra Commander figure, the tug at my nostalgia bones hit and I feel that I need to include this in my collection.

For any of my readers who will be attending SDCC this year, if any of you would be willing to pick one of these figures up for me, I would greatly appreciate it. Of course I would pay for the shipping along with the cost of the figure. If you're willing and able, please send me a message so we can work-out the details.

YouTube Recommendation - Robo Don't Know

During the Covid-19 pandemic, I started watching a lot of YouTube. This invigorated me to get back into collecting action figures. The first toy hunts I began watching religiously was from Ethan Page's channel. As time when on, I wanted to learn what was new and coming out. That When I first learned about The Fwoosh weekly, which was hosted by a guy who called himself Robo. Recently, he lost his job with Fwoosh and has now started doing Weekly Rewind's on his own channel: Robo Don't Know. Even though I don't really collect figures over 3.75" other the G.I Joe Classified figures, I thoroughly enjoy Robo's weekly videos to let us know what's out there.

YouTube Recommendation - Ethan Page

For those readers who are possibly looking for a fun YouTube channel to subscribe to, I highly recommend Ethan Page's V-Log

While he currently doesn't have regularly scheduled content, the videos that he has posted over the past several years are very entertaining. He has his regular V-Log which covers his experiences in his career as a professional wrestler that also includes a lot of behind-the-scenes look at a variety of wrestlers.

My favorites are his toy hunts, where he often includes other professional wrestlers. It really opens your eyes to the number of wrestlers actually collect toys and comics.

When he hits 100k subscribers, Ethan has promised to do a special video where he takes fellow wrestler Abadon to Arby's.

Please help him reach this goal, check-out his channel and subscribe.

Thank you for 16 years!

Recently I did something that I don't typically do... I took a look at the actual stats for my blog. When I have submitted my applicatio...
